Benefits of microox® Technology

microox® - Can be used for all refrigerants

microox® heat exchangers can be used for all standard refrigerants up to a pressure of 41 bar. Regular burst tests, well in excess of 100 bar, are carried out to ensure the operational reliability of microox® heat exchangers.

Corrosion resistant

The alloys used for microox® are optimally suited for normal ambient and usage conditions. Their corrosion properties are characterised by an oxide layer that has a protective function in aggressive ambient conditions.
Only in ambiances where chlorides occur in high concentration, the use of aluminium can not be recommended.

Less weight

microox® heat exchangers are made entirely of aluminium. This makes them up to 50% lighter than conventional fin-tube heat exchangers.

Easy to clean

Like all other heat exchangers, microox® heat exchangers have to be cleaned regularly. The low coil depth of 20 mm and the high strength of microox® heat exchangers allow them to be cleaned thoroughly with normal water pressure or with a high-pressure cleaner at pressures up to 50 bar.

Low refrigerant volume

microox® heat exchangers require up to 75% less refrigerant than other heat exchangers in relation to their performance.
EU Regulations 842/2006 (fluorinated greenhouse gas regulation) and 1005/2009 specify that leak tests must be carried out in relation to the volume of refrigerant in the system. Consequently, a lower volume can mean fewer leak tests.

Load tests for transportation

Transportation poses major challenges in terms of packaging and device stability. Because of this, extensive load tests have been carried out on microox® heat exchangers in different transportation situations. This ensures the load-bearing capacity of microox® heat exchangers during transportation and also that customers receive the device where it is to be installed in the same quality with which it leaves our factory.
