microox®: The Future of Heat Exchangers

innovative microox® technology

The microox® technology is the perfection of the micro channel technology that was up to now mainly used in the automotive sector. Even today, finned heat exchangers with copper tubes and aluminium fins are mainly used in stationary refrigeration. This started to change with the microox® technology, which was introduced in 2008, because these heat exchangers consist entirely of aluminium. Besides the benefit that only one material is used and the resulting highly improved corrosion resistance, the microox® technology offers a large range of l other advantages.
The close spacing and the small channel diameter produces a heat exchanger with very high fin efficiency and a very low refrigerant charge. Compared to conventional units, the series using microox® heat exchangers are lighter due to the use of aluminium and therefore a good choice for wall mounting solutions.

During the last years, the microox®  technology has established itself in the market and evolved to the next level. Now that the coils can be manufactured up to a length of 4 m, the units of the GVX.2 series are even more efficient and compact: In units with up to 3 fans, only one microox® coil is used, thus minimising the piping and shortening the overall unit length. And the best effect is that the power density is even higher.
